The second annual Smart Regions Conference brought together government, industry, and academic leaders that are working to research, plan, fund, and deploy smart and connected technologies, policies, and strategies.
A dynamic program shined a light on recent success stories, active challenges, and opportunities to work together to build better places to live, work, and visit.
The inaugural Smart Regions Conference is designed for urban, suburban, and rural communities of all sizes to connect directly with trusted partners, discover and explore new ideas, identify available resources, and learn from industry experts as they navigate digital transformation efforts, many of which require regional collaborations and multi-jurisdictional cooperation. In 2018, the program included pitch presentations from 20 qualified project response teams from around the country participating in the 2018 Smart Infrastructure Challenge. Those teams competed for more than $50 million dollars in available project financing and project support.
