CincyInsights launches as City Gov takes steps towards Smart City solutions. #SmartCincy
The City of Cincinnati is taking its commitment to transparency and innovation to the next level with the launch of a wide range of interactive public dashboards featuring real-time City data. CincyInsights is the first of many steps the local government is taking to make Cincinnati a smart city. From real-time info on which roads have been cleared of snow to lists of ongoing city improvement projects or even approved vendors, the platform will continue to grow and make readily available real-time information to interested stakeholders. Cincinnati is leading the charge as data transparency and real-time visualization is still breaking into many markets. This will streamline communications, help interested parties better realize needs, and encourage effective, real-time decision making with precision. "City Manager Harry Black established five strategic priority goals as the framework for measuring performance and optimizing service delivery citywide: Safer Streets, Growing Economy, Thriving & Healthy Neighborhoods, Innovative Government, and Fiscal Sustainability & Strategic Investment. These strategic priorities drive the City Administration's focus on the delivery of efficient, effective, and continuously improving customer services.
The Office of Performance & Data Analytics (OPDA) collects citywide data to monitor performance, improve service delivery, promote transparency, drive innovation, and creatively problem solve. In addition to continually adding and updating datasets posted to the City's Open Data Portal, OPDA created CincyInsights,an interactive dashboard portal, to make city data visual, conveniently accessible, and user-friendly for all members of the Cincinnati community.
All CincyInsights pages contain fully interactive, automatically updated dashboards; each page provides relevant context and explanation, and includes definitions for the data in each visualization. Click on any strategic priority icon to start exploring CincyInsights!"
