The Regional Smart Cities Initiative in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, also known as Smart Cincy, officially launched efforts on April 25th at Union Hall with a summit and technology showcase hosted by Venture Smarter. Elected and public officials, academic and business leaders, and community members committed to smart solutions came together over three days to discuss, ideate, plan, and collaborate on smart city strategies revolving around the four pillars of connectivity, mobility, security, and sustainability. Sponsors included IEEE, Blue Star, Honeywell, Zebra Technologies, Epson, Powernet Global, Extreme Networks, Cincinnati Bell, Hitachi, Astronomer, SmartLink, Venture Strategy Partners, Northern Kentucky Innovation Network, University of Cincinnati, and dozens of other organizations committed to regional growth.
