The U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the European Commission Directorate-General of Mobility and Transport (DG-MOVE) are pleased to announce the 2018 International Urban Freight Peer Exchange (IPEX). You are invited to join FHWA, DG-MOVE, and your American and European peers at this event to dialogue and learn about strategies for improved planning, operations, and management of urban freight.
FHWA and DG-MOVE are the partners of the US-EC Twinning Initiative, which seeks to develop and disseminate noteworthy urban freight practices and to connect urban freight practitioners from North America and Europe. The event will highlight key US-EC Twinning Initiative research and development projects, and provide opportunities for discussion on a range of topics, including first- and last-mile deliveries, freight and land use, uses of alternative fuels for freight vehicles, and social, political, and economic trends affecting freight and logistics.
The event will serve as a catalyst for continued information exchange on improved urban freight mobility, and a spark for new partnerships that grow and strengthen an international community of freight practitioners.
