Lauren Belive, Lyft
Lauren Belive is the Federal Government Relations Manager at Lyft. Based in DC, she spearheads the company's federal engagement and works to ensure that Lyft and the ride-sharing industry can continue to grow and thrive nationally.
Prior to Lyft, Lauren started her career on Capitol Hill with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, then chaired by Representative Henry Waxman. In 2008, she moved to Chicago to join the Obama for America Campaign as their Regional Research Director for the West and Southwest regions. After the 2008 Presidential election, Lauren returned to DC to become a Legislative Assistant for the Obama-Biden Transition Team's Office of Legislative Affairs; where she liaisoned with the Presidential Inaugural Committee. Following the Transition, Lauren started on day one at the White House, in the Office of Legislative Affairs, and served as a Legislative Assistant and Assistant for Events. Here she worked on the team that moved the Obama Administration's most hallmark legislation through Congress.In the spring of 2012 Lauren returned to the Hill, where she served as the Democratic Policy Director for the House Rules Committee, led by Ranking Member Louise Slaughter.
Lauren graduated with a B.A. in American Studies from Barnard College, Columbia University. She and her husband, Jeffrey Zubricki, live in Washington, D.C.
