The Second Annual Smart Regions Conference lands in Columbus, OH on Thursday, October 25th and Friday, October 26th. Key event topics will revolve around innovative technologies, resilient infrastructure and systems, public-private partnerships, project financing, smart governance, smart mobility and more as leaders from local, county, state, and federal government agencies as well as startups, enterprise technology companies, and universities come together for the annual event.
Here are 7 things to expect:
Ted Style Speakers
Power Panels and Presentations
Shark Tank-style Project Pitches (see 2018 Smart Infrastructure Challenge)

New to the conference this year are Shark Tank-style pitches featuring regional teams of public and private partners competing in the 2018 Smart Infrastructure Challenge. Live audience and remote polling will happen in real-time as teams are competing for more than $50 million in project funding, financing, and other valuable resources.
Last year, more than 700 attendees and 100 speakers and panelists participated in the inaugural event while thousands tuned in to hear Cisco's Global President of Smart+ Connected Communities, Anil Menon, talk about the heart and soul of smart cities.
