Explore active blue-tech projects and opportunities at SRC18
Over the last century, the global per capita rate of water use has doubled, leading the United Nations to project that the demand for water will exceed supply as early as 2025. Exacerbating the situation are sector-specific issues like aging infrastructure, scarce drinking water, stormwater and wastewater management challenges, groundwater contamination, water-related disaster response, and a changing climate.
Thankfully, there’s an abundance of opportunity in the water sector to leverage smart technologies, policies and strategies to address these wicked problems. Collaborative approaches in particular will increase our chances of successfully deploying solutions. Venture Smarter is taking the lead by acting as a connector between governments, businesses, and universities that are researching, planning, funding, and building smart cities and connected communities that put people and our most precious resource -- water -- first.
I encourage you to check out some of the projects we're supporting and opportunities available in the immediate, and I invite to join the conversation on blue tech at the Smart Regions Conference on the horizon.
