UC Links with Industry to Share Knowledge at Smart Regions Conference

The University of Cincinnati will be well represented in the Oct. 25 Midwest IoT Showcase and Smart Regions Conference at BB&T Arena in Northern Kentucky.

“This is the first regional IoT showcase and expo where together, we are going to showcase UC researchers' (and students') work alongside other area researchers' work and industry-born technologies,” said Jennifer Krivickas, UC’s assistant vice president of integrated research and head of the DAAP Library. “This is a great way for faculty and students to network and develop relationships with researchers outside UC, government officials, community leaders, and industry leaders in the IoT space.”

Themes of the event include the future of mobility and smart transportation, cybersecurity, energy and medical tech as well as homelessness, child poverty and the heroin epidemic.
