Venture Smarter’s Chief Strategy Officer and Co-founder, Mitchell Kominsky, joined South Bend Mayor Peter Buttigieg, Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke, Uber’s Rachel Holt, Bird’s Brandon Pollak, Tech:NYC’s Julie Samuels and other smart cities and transportation experts to explore the on-the-ground challenges involved in building the transportation systems and cities of tomorrow.

The Washington Post Live event - Technology 202 - featured three panel discussions. During the third panel, Are Smart Cities Getting Smarter? (seen above), smart cities experts discussed what criteria Amazon used to determine which cities would be finalists for its second headquarters and how factors like technology and education impacted the decision-making process.
